The Annual Farm School Fundraising Benefit
For many springs now, The Farm School has held a benefit event to help kick off the new season and raise significant funds that go towards our annual operating costs. These events have featured such artists as Jonatha Brooke, Bruce Cockburn, Kris Delmhorst, Patty Larkin, Nils Lofgren, Willie Nelson, Chris Smither, Rob Wasserman, Bob Weir and many others. In 2003 we moved from the historic Sanders Theater @ Harvard University to a lovely, and more intimate, venue at Henrietta's Table @ the Charles Hotel in Harvard Square with food from Chef Peter Davis and music from the acoustic trio of Mike Grodon, Dave Perkins and Jamie Masefield. The evening was more successful than ever in both spirits and funds raised, and our kind hosts, who donated the entire event, have extended the gift to us an annual event! Musical guests since then have included the return of Chris Smither, Bob Weir and his full band, Ratdog (twice), Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Crooked Still and the legendary Mavis Staples.
